The end of 'White Guilt'

I don't know how this man is, but I certainly do applaud his way with words. Tom Adkins, let me know if you are ever running for public office. You would have MY vote!


WHITE GUILT IS DEAD

Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along,
depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't
get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo socialism.
But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted
Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of
intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to
America: The Era of White Guilt is over.

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast
majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin
color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black
man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent
his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church
for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic
terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their
leader. Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks,
retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals
began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black
Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution.
But if a black man can become President, exactly what
significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama
absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white
guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity," if you will. From this day forward,
my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now
exactly ZERO. And it's time to clean house. No more Reverend
Wright's "God Damn America," Al Sharpton's Church of Perpetual
Victimization, or Jesse Jackson's rainbow racism. Cornell West?
You're a fraud. Go home. All those "black studies" programs that
taught kids to hate whitey? You must now thank Whitey. And I
want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up.
ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty.
Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better
dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America. Begin with the Pledge of
Allegiance. And please.no more ebonics. Speak English, and who
knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah.pull up your pants. Your
underwear is showing. You look stupid.

To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America? I'm still
waiting for the first black French President.


And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I've always
despised lazy white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy
black people. You're poor because you quit school, did drugs,
had three kids with three different fathers, and refuse to work.
So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin' butt on
the couch and complain "Da Man is keepin' me down," allow me to
inform you: Da Man is now black. You have no excuses.

No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because
someone's great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and
misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally revile.

It's time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustle machine upon the heap
of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there, by wife
swapping, next to dope-smoking. Plenty of room right between
free love and cop-killing.
Careful.don't trip on streaking. There ya go, don't be gentle.
Just dump it.
Wash your hands. It's filthy.

In fact, Obama's ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell
class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife
went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became
millionaires, bought a mansion, and got elected President? How
unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O'Henry tale, Obama's
spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own
victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election
has validated American conservatism!



So, listen carefully.Wham!!!


That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt.
The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and
tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

However, despite my glee, there's apparently one small, rabid bastion of
American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm.
In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every
black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism
and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it's time to start
spreading the guilt around.

I may have made the 'mistake' of showing this to a co-worker. His first response was to call me a racist and suggest only racists would take or support such views as this. As a retort, I suggested he start the "White College Fund" and see how long it is before he gets slapped with a variety of lawsuits for discrimination. "If that is too frontal for you, have your college going son apply for aid from that other fair and reasonable group, The Negro College Fund, and see what they have to say about his application.

Obama won the election. He may not be 'my' president, but is 'our' president. As such, it is up to him to actively destroy the age long uses and abuses that have created a society which would permit such an environment that Mr. Adkin's comments were generated from.

Now, let's all hold our breaths as we wait for that to happen!

A discussion carried over from Munchkin Wrangler's Blog

On Marko's blog he posted about his dislike for the upcoming handout for people whose TV's will soon stop working. This is due to the FCC's mandate that all TV Transmissions go to digital, rather than the much broader and higher bandwidth using analog transmissions so many of us are accustomed to.

And here I start the rant...

I do not believe it is a sense of superiority as much as attitude about life. I value my life and the people around me value my presence in their existence. I value theirs, as well, or I would not be comfortable in their presence and find another place to be.

We each surround ourselves with people that share common interests or beliefs. I prefer to surround myself with intelligent people who are willing and able to work for their own sustainability. We help each other when one falls down or has a serious problem and needs help. Most of us won't ask for the help, and will only grudgingly accept that same aid. Also, because we are the backbone carrying the weight of so many freeloaders, we don't qualify for much of the aid we are essentially paying for others to enjoy. As intellectuals that share common ideals we support each other as equals and are made up of a wide variety of beliefs, races and ethnicities.

Now ask yourself, which would you rather be someone capable of self-reliance or someone who has been siphoned dry by those unwilling to help themselves? Or perhaps those that have determined they deserver a free ride through life, not contributing to society, not supporting order, and usually, gladly taking from those who do by way of mass voting thieves into office?

In my first comment on this blog entry I posted a link to a story regarding Davey Crockett receiving a very important lesson from a member of his constituency. That lesson was, to over simplify, "take my money in the form of taxes to do the things the federal government is supposed to do, protect the nation as a whole. If you want to help someone who has fallen on hard times, do it out of your own wallet before dipping further into mine, without my consent."

Welfare was, originally, provided by the churches and the community as a whole. With things such as food banks, poor boxes, bake sales and the like people who truly needed assistance got it. Those that were willing to contribute to society would receive aid, usually a bit more easily, because they returned the support to all before and after their misfortune. Now that our federal government has taken up the torch of being the end-all provider of welfare services, more and more people in our society are feeling entitled to those same monies, programs and services. Our young see the writing on the wall, as well. Why work for a living when I can live for free off the gov'mint. Because of some people's beliefs of entitlement and their willingness to sell their freedoms (and mine and yours) in exchange for a free-ride, I am not as free as my father was at my age.

Every day we hear of how the government is intruding farther and farther into managing the lives of all American's. Sometimes this is done through scare tactics such as used with the Patriot Act (I and II). Other times it is done (or promised) as way to curry favor with the voting public to gain another vote.

Now ask yourself are you one of those using and working the system or are you one of crowd described below?

Are you self empowering to take on the responsibilities of correcting our government or are you one of those that will stand by while others take away your free ride to return the freedom of self reliance to you and your constituents?

The World As It Is SUPPOSED To Be

A colleague of mine asked how in the world I managed to link to so many people in the medical and policing industries. Here is a part of the conversation:


"It's quite simple, actually", I say.

"yeah? explain it to me."

"Nurses, police, fire fighters and many others all provide a service to the population. They are the harbingers of 'The World As It Is SUPPOSED To Be'. These are people that work jobs that pay low to moderate wages. The type of career that will never make these people financially rich. At least not the ones that are worth having doing the job. Much like teachers, and I don't mean college professors, these people serve their communities in these capacities as a calling."

"But why? I mean if the money is not very good and hours are terrible, why put up with the heartache of the job?" this young sprog asks. (Thanks for the vocabulary contribution, LD!).

"For the same reason we have so many troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. These people see a need and they step up to fill it. These people are the unsung heroes of our society."

To which the snot replied, "Whatever man. I just don't get it. It's not American. There is no gain in it. They suffer through money issues just to take care of ungrateful people. I could never work like that."

And there begins the education of the corruption of our youth. I will admit, I got into computers for a living for several reasons. I had the brain for it. I loved things that were logical. Mr. Spock was my hero as a kid. He betrayed nothing of his thoughts to others that he did not intentionally want them to know or see. Logic and reason rules this little world.

And as others have done the same over the last two generations, each more empty than the last. Our youth (Gen X and Gen Y) became addicted to the immediate gratification of the NOW American lifestyle. Gen Z will be even more instant gratification. With parents shirking their responsibilities to raise their kids, schools have become day care centers and teachers glorified baby sitters. Continuing the cycle of the 'Dumbing down of America'. What will Gen AA and Gen AB be like, I wonder.

Another point that got my ire up was the young man's comments about working in a social service industry as being un-American. This, dare I say boy, has no regard for anyone that does not have a 6 figure income. He does not have that kind of income, but he is still in college and working a job to keep his school loans under control. This was such a shock to me. Without a salary of $100000.00 or more a year, this kid can not consider someone as being successful.

I may not be happy in my job, but I am happy in my career. I am happy with my MOST of my choices in life, even some of the mistakes. There is nothing in my past I would change, because I would not be here, now. I pity this person who is under-educated in the most important fact of life.

Money will not and can not buy you happiness.

And to all those educators, police, fire fighters, EMS techs, soldiers, and everyone else that works for the good of society, I wish to repay you with the currency that means the most to me.

My thanks and my respect.

I only wish I had the words to convince this naive youthful co-worker the importance of such gratitude and respect.
